Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in where she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. She speaks fluent French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother was a violinist, and her father is professor of theater at one the best drama schools in Europe. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. In addition, she appeared as a child in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She was Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca made an appearance in her role in the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. She then had the lead role in 2014's Fury where she played Irma the German aunt of Emma.
