Carey is a former top fashion model who stands at 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She is the daughter of the world-renowned geologist, who was in 1979 named Scientist of the year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was raised all over the planet because of her father's work. She started modeling part time when she was a student attending university at the University of Colorado and caught the eye of a rep from the Ford model Agency in New York. After moving to France in the summer of 1999, where she was a resident between Paris, Bordeaux and New York and then New York, she made the decision to go back to New York and continue her education. Then, Vogue, Glamour and others were featured on their cover. While modeling, she continued to study at a full-time level for a literary major in New York University. In time, she began to become interested in acting, and began studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She had a small part on Club Paradise with Robin Williams in 1986. She enjoys rock climbing as well as skiing and windsurfing.
