Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on the 13th of May 1950. He is known as Stevie Wonder and is considered an innovator in music and an influencer on musicians from various genres from blues to jazz to gospel, soul to jazz. The use of synthesizers in the 1970s by Stevie Wonder and other electronic musical instruments made R&B a virtual one-man show. He also helped push these genres into the album era and made his LPs unison and consistent, as well as socially conscious statements with complex compositions. Wonder was born blind shortly after his birth, was signed by Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11. He was then given the title of professional Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's popularity with critics was at its peak in the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972 with the release of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition" that is one of the most unique and famous instances of the sounds of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. He was awarded the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingnessthe First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This is the record holder of the most Album of the year wins with three. Wonder is the only artist to have won the award for three consecutive albums. Wonder started his "commercial period" in the 1980s; the artist had his biggest hit songs and highest level of fame, had increased album sales, charity involvement as well as high-profile collaborations
